Xander joined BRD Group’s Sunshine Coast office in 2024 as a Graduate Designer. Prior to this, he gained over a year of experience as a structural draftsperson while completing his senior high school studies and six months of TAFE study. He holds a Certificate III in Engineering Technical Drafting and a Certificate IV in Residential Drafting, providing a solid foundation in drafting and design.

Xander thrives in BRD Group’s fast-paced environment, where meeting deadlines, collaborating with experienced colleagues, and participating in ongoing professional development keeps him engaged and motivated. He particularly values opportunities to attend industry events, workshops, and training sessions that support his continual learning.

What excites Xander most is seeing a design he has helped develop progress from concept to a completed building. Surrounded by a knowledgeable and supportive team, he is constantly learning, gaining practical experience, and applying new skills to add value to projects and the wider business. At this stage in his career, his focus is on observation, learning, and growth, building a strong foundation for his future as a designer.

Outside of work, Xander enjoys watching the moon rise over the rocks at Shelly Beach and playing Pokémon with friends. Originally from Brisbane, his family relocated to the Sunshine Coast after travelling across Australia. In his downtime, he enjoys dining along Brisbane’s riverfront, followed by music and drinks with friends.
