Brody Bakker is an enthusiastic Student Draftsperson at the beginning of his professional journey, bringing energy, curiosity, and a strong drive to learn. Having recently joined BRD, he is already building valuable hands-on experience while completing his formal studies.

Originally from Tewantin in Noosa, Brody grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Sunshine Coast. He comes from a large blended family, including his parents, step-parents, siblings, and step-siblings, which has helped shape his collaborative and adaptable approach to both life and work.

Brody has completed a Certificate IV in Residential Drafting and is currently working toward a Diploma of Building Design, laying a solid foundation for his future in the industry.

Brody describes BRD as a structured and supportive workplace with a strong focus on collaboration and professional growth. He values the open-plan office environment, where team members can easily learn from one another and share knowledge across a wide range of project types.

Outside of work, Brody enjoys an active, outdoors-focused lifestyle. He spends his time jet skiing, camping, exploring new places, and taking on adventure activities like ziplining and treetop courses. The Sunshine Coast remains a favourite, particularly for its beaches and camping spots like Double Island Point. One of Brody’s long-term goals is to purchase a large block of land and design and build a custom home, shed, and additional structures, bringing his passion for design full circle.
