Plantation Retirements Resort

Year: 2026

Perfectly positioned and within easy walking distance to the beach, parklands and Surf Clubs, plus several great cafes and restaurants. A host of amenities including health practitioners, The Aquatic Centre, Bowls Club, Tennis Centre, Maroochy RSL Club, and the Sunshine Plaza Shopping Centre are all just a short drive away. The complimentary resort shuttle bus will also be available to take you on planned shopping trips and excursions.

Shoreline Skyhomes

Shoreline Skyhomes is a boutique 3-unit complex designed to maximise unit size and provide extensive views from internal rooms. Unit owners achieve secure individual living outcomes while also having the benefit of double garage/storage area.

Shoreline has been well received with sale outcomes exceeding expectations.

Cabana units is a modern, fresh, coastal complex designed to maximise the unit floor plan layouts and overall provide a timeless facade design. With only one unit per level, Cabana is a boutique complex that sold prior to completion.

Essence Cotton Tree

Location: Cotton Tree, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2021

Essence is a high-end multi residential/mixed use project positioned and designed to capitalise on extensive coastal views, and provide generous owner/occupier living facilities.

The retail offering at ground level have become a desired dining location, providing elevated parkland views and northern aspect outdoor terraces.

At the time of sales and construction, Essence achieved market leading sales rates, and re-sales have exceeded expectations.

Essence has been locally acknowledged as a desirable development due to the design features and the standard of finish.

Boorook Duplex

Location: Buddina, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2021

Located in the idyllic beachside suburb of Buddina on the Sunshine Coast, sits this exquisite duplex design that emulates high-end style and sophistication.

This duplex features seamless indoor and outdoor living areas, resort style alfresco, three metre ceilings, and a stunning 8.5 metre atrium upon entry.

Tangalooma Residence

Location: Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2019

Tangalooma Residence is an exclusive waterfront
apartment complex located on the Sunshine Coast. Paying homage to the history the project has taken the name of the initial residence.

This multi-residential complex consists of four apartments, each occupying an entire level of approximately 400sqm. A major feature of this building is that each unit has a private lift from the basement to the unit, with the basement incorporating four cars/storage per unit.

Access to the apartments for visitors is via a large four-storey high foyer consisting of water features, a green wall and an operable roof allowing for an indoor/outdoor environment.

The site also features several communal benefits such as an entertaining area, pool, gym, basement and catwalk to individual boat pontoons.

Elevate on Buderim

Location: Buderim, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2020

Elevate on Buderim is nestled into the modern village vibe and offers an unsurpassed level of luxury with seven beautifully appointed, spacious
apartments, including two luxurious penthouses.

The apartments feature a two or three-bedroom layout, two bathrooms, single and double car garage options, stone bench-tops, Miele appliances, Northern Beech timber flooring and the highest specifications throughout.

Verve Cotton Tree

Location: Cotton Tree, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2016

Verve is a stunning multi-storey apartment building located in the heart of sought-after and thriving beachside suburb of Cotton Tree on the Sunshine Coast.

The complex was designed with the majority of the units to be owner occupier and consists of spacious units with large entertaining balconies and feature a combination of masonry, rockwork, glass and steel.

The building capitalises on the extensive coastal views whilst also providing spacious recreational facilities.

Aurora

Location: Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2009

Overlooking the mouth of the Maroochy River, Aurora is comprised of two buildings with a total of 27 units, basement car park, common area and commercial space on the ground level.

The four storey building on the waterfront was designed with one unit per level, each having
direct access from the basement and ground via a private lift.

Latitude Coolum Beach

Location: Coolum Beach, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2021

Kate Chopin wrote “the voice of the sea speaks to the soul”. Latitude embodies the character of its location while providing modern, high-end living for the unit owners.

The complex incorporates luxurious finishes within spacious floor plans and external living areas to take advantage of the coastal location and views.

Buderim Duplex

Location: Buderim, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2017

The Buderim duplex consists of two stylish units, each boasting spacious living areas across two stories enhancing comfort and lifestyle for the occupants of this duplex.

The lower level allows for easy living for two individuals, with a master suite and living area.
The lower level also incorporates utility areas and a compact study area.

Flexible living areas for this duplex includes the internal spaces, an external deck, and internal courtyard, and a lower landscaped area.

The Observatory

Location: Caloundra, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2011

Located in Caloundra, The Observatory complex
consists of 39 high-end apartments across
six storeys. The geometry is well-defined with an expressed structure and large skillion roofs.

The distinctive Queen Street facade incorporates the use of piloti style columns at the ground level entry, and then merges with the main elliptical expressed columns.

The entire facade is heavily articulated with balconies, glazed handrails, solid balustrades, louvre screens with concealed air conditioning
units, and extensive glazing panels.

The roof terrace also consists of several major stand out features such as two dominant skillion roofs strutted over two storeys.

One Pacific Ave

Location: Tannum Sands, Gladstone, QLD
Year: 2015

The design of the iconic ‘One Pacific Ave’ development was successfully achieved through a
collaborative process between client and design team.

Through the use of robust materials and finishes in bold contrasting forms and colours, the significant site has been reactivated.

The ground level activation is via a diverse commercial/retail tenancy offering, whilst a
secure residential lobby glows with warm timber hues from within the northern street approach.

Upon entering the residences, each apartment is specifically designed to maximise the aspect of the hill top site.

The identity of each apartment was evolved relating to its signature view and the surrounding changing landscape.

Alex Heads Townhouses

Location: Alex Headland, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2015

Situated on a picturesque beachside block on the Sunshine Coast, this townhouse development redefines conventional coastal living through its innovative form and thoughtful planning.

Responding sensitively to its unique setting, the design moves beyond the traditional townhouse model, embracing a contemporary architectural language that maximises natural light, cross-ventilation, and connections to the surrounding landscape. The result is a collection of homes that balance privacy with openness, creating generous, light-filled spaces that celebrate their coastal location while fostering a strong sense of community.

Le Soleil

Location: Alex Headland, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2018

Le Soleil was designed in a minimalistic style to reflect a large house, rather than a conventional apartment building. The brief was also to avoid using a mirrored design on each floor plate.

The street elevation provides a bold statement with a combination of strong linear lines and a simple colour palette. Careful design of the
courtyard entry structures assisted to disguise the building from being a typical apartment complex.

The site sloped away from the road which helped to conceal the car parking but did add complexity to unit access. Ground floor units benefited from having expansive courtyards and access direct to the street.

Le Soleil provides large owner/occupier units that are unique to the very competitive Sunshine Coast apartment market.

Kings Palazzo

Location: Caloundra, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2011

Kings Palazzo is a six-storey unit complex at Kings Beach on the Sunshine Coast. Designed for the coastal lifestyle, this multi-residential design features two levels of penthouse units.

This high quality complex provides well articulated clean facade lines and utilises a subtle colour palette which overall enables the building to provide a presence but also be unimposing to its neighbouring developments.

Monterey Apartments

Location: Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2013

Monterey is an award-winning multi-residential design that is split between two buildings to
maximise street frontage in the thriving suburb of Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.

The design features two separate buildings allowing for excellent vehicular and pedestrian access to and within the site as well as it also allowing all units to have a street frontage aspect.

The final design also includes extensive roof terraces for the four penthouse units, large
basements, and large ground floor units with extensive balcony / courtyard space.

Airlie Summit Duplex

Location: Airlie Beach, Whitsunday, QLD
Year: 2010

Located on a difficult site at Airlie Summit, this multi-level duplex boasts a vernacular style which captures views and the surrounding habitat from all angles, enhancing serenity and peace.

Extensive use of glass, timber and steel have been used, with the skillion roofs reflecting the slope of the site.

Internally, the fit-out is of a high standard with all rooms capturing the panoramic idyllic view.

Mary River Motor Inn

Location: Gympie, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2011

The Mary River Motor Inn in Gympie consists of six buildings that incorporate 50 motel units, restaurant and function facilities for the growing regional town.

Designed as part of the Motor Inn development, the Mary River Restaurant is a premier venue catering for large functions and conferences.

Capricorn Tavern & Motel

Location: Yeppoon, Central QLD
Year: 2009

BRD Group was commissioned to design a ‘family-style’ tavern which was to cater for predominantly local residents, but also appeal to the tourists visiting the Central QLD town.

The building includes a sports bar, gaming room, lounge area, kitchen and bar areas, dining zones, and an outdoor terrace. A large bottle shop was also included within the design, with an attached drive-thru facility.

The motel consists of 32 rooms with a Manager’s unit on the first level, allowing for the car parking, administration, and guest recreational areas to be on the ground level.

The exterior of the tavern and motel have been designed with a vernacular style in harmony with the local seaside community.

The finishes consists of a contemporary style in presentation and have overall assisted the complex in establishing a strong local attendance.
