Rockhampton TAFE Centre of Excellence

Location: North Rockhampton, Central QLD
Year: 2025

Centre of Excellence – CQU Rockhampton North Campus is a purpose-built training facility designed to support future-focused vocational education in Central Queensland. The building consolidates key trade programs into a single, efficient environment that reflects the University’s commitment to practical learning and innovation.

Developed in close collaboration with the building contractor, the design balances performance and economy through value engineering and durable, low-maintenance detailing. The result is a contemporary training hub that supports hands-on learning while enhancing the broader campus environment.

Goodlife Clubhouse

Location: Howard, Fraser Coast, QLD
Year: 2024

BRD Group were proud to be involved in this purpose-built clubhouse facility for the Good Life RV & Lifestyle Resort in Howard, Queensland. A Hamptons inspired design. This project incorporates beautifully landscaped surrounds to feature the Clubhouse as the centrepiece of the Recreation precinct in the resort.

Construction was completed in December 2024 for which the residents can now enjoy what is a building with carefully considered interiors and an expansive exterior spaces.

Redland Bay Childcare

Location: Redland Bay, Brisbane, QLD
Year: 2020

The client’s brief called for the delivery of a purpose-designed childcare centre incorporating a Nursery Room, Toddler Room, Junior Kindy, Senior Kindy and Pre-Prep Rooms.

With capacity for up to 150 children across the site. The centre was designed as part of a larger master-planned development that also includes a swim school and service station, requiring careful planning of the building footprint, car parking and outdoor play areas to maximise site efficiency and yield. Strong integration of the Centre’s brand theming throughout the internal spaces and external play environments helped create the distinctive “wow” factor the client was seeking.

Trade Training Centre

Location: Mackay, North QLD
Year: 2024

BRD Group were the proud designers of this purpose-built trade training centre for Central Queensland University in Mackay. The new facility specialises in Heavy Automotive industry training.

The training provides pathways for local apprentices to kickstart their career. The design was made up of, washdown zone, 3x work bays, hydraulics bay, engine storeroom and view room. The end outcome provided CQU with a state-of-the-art Trade Training Centre.

Spring Lakes Resort

Location: Avoca, Fraser Coast, QLD
Year: 2021

Spring Lakes Resort is home to active residents who benefit from extensive community facilities located in Avoca on the Fraser Coast. This development offers endless activities.

Residents have access to a large community building, an outdoor pool, a hydro pool, a lawn bowls green, a men’s shed, van parking, outdoor recreation areas, and their own golf course. The community building makes a bold statement with a resort style porte cochere, many multipurpose rooms, a theatre and extensive outdoor recreation areas.

The resident houses are spacious and are individually suited to provide individuality and privacy. Spring Lakes Resort has quickly become a desirable location to move into.

Rainbow Beach SLSC

Location: Rainbow Beach, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2022

The Rainbow Beach Surf Lifesaving Club has become a signature landmark within the vibrant and ever-evolving seaside town, positioned to embrace its coastal setting.

The building serves as both a functional hub for surf lifesaving operations and a welcoming community destination that reflects the spirit of Rainbow Beach.

Designed to provide much-needed facilities for lifesaving members, the venue supports the vital work of patrols, training, and community safety along the coastline. Beyond its operational role, the club has established itself as a popular gathering place for locals and visitors alike. With its inviting atmosphere, prominent location, and connection to the beach lifestyle, it has become a true ‘go-to’ destination, catering to the growing number of tourists while remaining an important part of the local community fabric.

Mount Cotton Childcare

Location: Mount Cotton, Brisbane, QLD
Year: 2021

My School Child Care and Kindergarten at Mount Cotton consists of a 150 place child care centre that can cater for nursery age children through to pre-prep age.

The centre is part of a fully master-planned development that includes both retail and
supermarket tenancies with careful planning of the building footprint, car park and associated outdoor play spaces required to ensure maximum yield on the site.

The design incorporates the centres brand theming both internally and externally allowing for a ‘wow’ factor street appeal.

Slade Point Childcare

Location: Slade Point, Brisbane, QLD
Year: 2017

My School Child Care and Kindergarten at Slade Point incorporates nursery and toddler rooms, junior and senior kindy and pre-prep rooms catering for 75 children.

Located opposite a small shopping village the
centre is ideally positioned to service the local
community.

Sippy Downs Childcare

Location: Sippy Downs, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Year: 2016

This two-storey contemporary child care centre located at Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast caters for children from nursery age to children in after school care.

The centre features play rooms that lead out to covered zones, allowing for an integrated open plan space with clear viewing of the children,
regardless of what space they are occupying.

A mix of steel structures and lightweight cladding throughout the interior and exterior finishes gives the building a real street presence.

Rockhampton Childcare
