Boronia Cottage was officially opened by Senator Mark Furner on 5 December 2012, with lots of positive comments from those who attended on the day.
The completed project has included a four bedroom, six person respite facility for people requiring up to six nights of care. Including multiple sitting areas and a full kitchen, Boronia Cottage is a home away from home for those that need respite care.
Owned by the Bribie-Moreton Hospice Health Services Incorporated and operated by Suncare, Boronia Cottage will hopefully be the first of many community respite facilities to be built and operated in South-East Queensland.
We're sure that Boronia Cottage will be used and enjoyed by many in the years to come.
