The restoration of the Grand Hotel in Gladstone involved extension of the hotel kitchen, and refurbishment of the bars, dining areas, gaming rooms and bottle shop. The addition of an outdoor dining area, streetscaping, and overall refurbishment of the facade were also part of the renovations. |

The use of combining heavy and lightweight materials resulted in a building with flexible spaces, high ceilings, extensive natural light and a modern, enduring fit-out. |

The Metropole Hotel in Townsville built in 1886 was carefully rebuilt behind the refurbished heritage facade which incorporated the verandah and balcony. The new building now includes bar areas, gaming facilities, restaurant, function rooms and an alfresco dining area. |

The Australian Hotel refurbishment involved the relocation of the poker machine facilities, upgrade to the front bar, re-roofing, new windows and bi-fold doors, a new designated outdoor smoking area, commercial kitchen upgrade, landscaping to the rear courtyard, and included the refurbishment of the council trust listed facade. |
